EFILive is please to announce a new concept in speed density tuning for the E38 & E67 ECM's never before seen. The 'Virtual VE Table'. Those familiar with speed density tuning (MAF sensor removed) on these two ECM types would be well aware it is very much a hit and miss situation trying to tune using just VE coefficients. On the first release for our E38 & E67 tuning product EFILive opened the eyes of tuners by adding in tuning specific PID's that allowed you to monitor which Zone the ECM was working in and the calculated VE values. Whilst this took some of the tuning mystery out of the E38/E67, trying to work with the VE coefficients was still too cumbersome and usually resulted in needing to plot maps in programs like Excel or super expensive math software just to see what the map would actually look like. Well, EFILive has stepped up with V7.5. This version not only allows the tuner to view a 3D map of the calculated VE table based on the VE coefficients, they can also edit the virtual VE table and then automatically recalculate the VE coefficients based on those changes. In simple terms, it's like the E38 and E67 just got a VE table like every other GM ECM you have ever tuned. V7.5 will be released to the public within a few days time pending final beta test results. |
